At least this week wasn't a total loss! (The freaks were out in full-force this week--just ask anyone.) I decided to "take it back" and go on a long lunch break. Where did I end up? Charlotte Yarn, of course! :) (oops... I ran a little late getting back...*grinning*)
Amy and I learned how to crochet today, and let me tell you--I think we made history for the fastest learners ever. Thank you so much, Sandy, for being an awesome teacher. (Um, did I cheat the system or something? I think she just got done with a class... Yeah.... Sorry Remi!)
Check out my first crocheted item:
I hate the pepto-bismol pink yarn, by the way, but I am trying really hard to love crochet! This, of course was just a practice project (coaster). Who knew that a single crochet required yarn coming through TWO loops?? Apparently lots of people...
In other news, I got my hair chopped! There's nothing like getting a new 'do to make things okay again. :)
Little birdie is doing well. I took a little video shot of him, but typepad is not loving me when I try to upload it... We'll see if I can make it around that or not. Otherwise, more pics later. The little peep-peep is so cute! I've been banned from any access to the balcony because the boys think I'm going to sabotage the birdie nest. What do they know? (Hopefully) there will be more pics later. As for now, I'm off to download the Babette pattern since I'm now a crochetter. hah!
Ooo the new hair cut is great. And the weirdo's haven't stopped.

Love love love the hairdo! And you!
So glad you finally learned to crochet. It's great for edgings and quickie blankets. :)
