And sometimes I forget I have a blog.
After a long dry spell, I finally got into the sewing room and got some stuff done. D.O.N.E. These are some long-time projects I have been working on. After all the procrastination, I finally put the closure on the little kimono from the Mason-Dixon Knitting book. And after all the worry and procrastination and cutting and quilting and ripping and re-quilting, I finished the little baby quilt in one good "alone-time" evening. This little package is on it's way to Shannon's house.
My latest work-in-progress is the mitered squares for the Mitered Square Afghan in the MDK book. It's quite satisfying to know I'm finishing something new at least once every-other-day. These squares are something small I can keep with me all the time so I can obsessively knit while doing otherwise ordinary things like waiting in line at the bank or sitting at red lights or watching TV. I mostly work on them during my lunch break at my job. Ten down, 30 to go...
A tip for nail-biters: Chewed up cuticles and any type of yarn don't mix. Just sayin'.....
Thought you had fallen off the face of the earth! The baby sweater is so cute! I am still in awe of your quilting skills. Those miters are addictive...you should really consider sewing them together as you go along, I was ready to poke myself in the eye just sewing 4 together, I can't imagine an entire afghans worth!
Your comment about Hilton Head on my blog made me laugh out loud!
